Earthing/Grounding

Posted on Posted in Alternative Medicine

Go barefoot for forty minutes outside and see what a difference that makes on your pain or stress level. Sit, stand, or walk on grass, sand, dirt, or concrete − preferably wet, for greater conductivity of the Earth’s electrons. These are all conductive surfaces from which your body can draw the Earth’s electrons. Concrete sits on the earth and will allow free electrons to pass through the same as if you are standing or sitting on open ground or grass. However painted or sealed concrete, asphalt, wood or carpets are not conductive.Keeping in contact with the Earth (Grounded) for thirty minutes is ideal and ought to be done as often as possible.

FootprintsInTheSandThere are several ways of grounding besides walking barefooted. Sitting on the ground, on a chair with feet planted on the ground. If you are one of those blessed souls, walking on the sea shore, where the waves wash the sand, as salt water is highly more conductive than fresh water. Actually when any part of your body touches the earth you receive its energies.

Studies have uncovered the fact that: people who are grounded function better than they do ungrounded. They are in fact different; they are more focused and balanced.

According to new research, Earthing can be beneficial in:

  • Reducing inflammation by neutralising excess positive electrons
  • Reducing chronic pain
  • Improved sleep
  • Increased energy
  • Lowering stress and promoting calmness
  • Normalising biological rhythms
  • Improved blood pressure
  • Relieving physical stress and headaches
  • Accelerates healing
  • Shortens recovery time from injury
  • Protects the body from EMFs

When we walk barefooted the front part of the sole comes in connection with the Earth. According to Traditional Chinese medicine, this area includes a major acupuncture point known as “the bubbling spring” or kidney 1 (K1).The point is a major entryway for the absorption of Earth Energy and connects with the urinary bladder meridian. This meridian is an energy channel that reaches many organs and parts of the body – liver, diaphragm, heart, lungs and brain – as well as a central meridian point in the back.
Remember that the sole of the feet have more nerve endings inch for inch than any other part of the body. Think of the sole as a prime contact point gathering in free electrons and natural energies from the earth.

As a therapy Earthing creates a greater sense of well being. The sicker the person the greater the benefits gained. Older people rapidly feel improved circulation and energy. Swollen joints and varicose veins diminish over time. Those with many health issues slowly start to see changes in their condition after two or three weeks of Earthing. These health issues will gradually improve.
It is said by many experts that children – and adults as well – need to get out into nature more, and are healthier and better adjusted if they do. Wherever you go, go barefooted if it is safe and possible.
People who stay grounded get sick less often and their energies are higher. They heal quicker and bounce back faster.
